Privacy Policy

Your resume has personal information in it, and we take that seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us, and the choices you have. It is written to follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

• Contact details: your name and email address.
• Your resume: the file you send us, plus any job ad, target role or extra details you give us.
• Orders and payments: what you ordered and whether you paid. PayPal handles PayPal payments – we never see your card details.
• Your messages to us by email or through our forms.

Please leave sensitive details off your resume unless they are needed for the job – for example health information, religion or your date of birth. If we see these on your resume and they are not needed, we may remove them from your new resume.

2. Why we use it

• To review your resume and send you your results.
• To write, design and deliver your new resume and any other documents you ordered.
• To email you about your review and your order, including questions about your resume.
• To improve our service, using combined results that do not identify you.

3. Who helps us

We use trusted service providers. They only use your information to provide their service to us:

• website hosting (Cloudflare)
• online forms for sending us your resume (Tally)
• email (Google)
• payments (PayPal, and our bank or Wise for bank transfers)
• software tools, including AI tools (Anthropic), that help us analyse and draft documents. We use these tools under business terms where your information is not used to train their AI models.

A member of our team reviews every resume before it is delivered.

4. Information stored or accessed outside Australia

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, and members of our team may access your information from outside Australia. We only work with providers and team members who are required to keep your information private and secure, and we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. We never

• Sell your information.
• Share your resume with employers or recruiters without your permission.
• Use your resume in our marketing or examples without your written permission.

6. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. How we keep it safe

Your files are kept in our private business accounts, protected by passwords and two-step sign-in. Only our team can see your information.

8. How long we keep it

If you order, we keep your resume and files for 12 months after delivery so you can come back for changes. Free reviews with no order are deleted after 6 months. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time. We may keep basic payment records for longer where the law requires it.

9. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Email boostmycvup@gmail.com from the address you used with us and we will reply within 30 days.

10. Complaints

If you are worried about how we have handled your information, email us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
